Epic Bristol Wedding

Alternative, Fun, Quirky Bristol Wedding for Sophie and Jess

The Bristol Wedding Plan

Oh Bristol! What an incredible city you and your people are! So if you know you know but Bristol is one of the best cities in the UK (in my opinion) So when Sophie and Jess messaged me about their wedding I pretty much jumped off my seat with excitement and all the ideas came to me! Now this wasn’t a normal wedding and had some very unique aspects to it! Their plan was to get married at The Old Council House on Corn Street, pop in to Horts on broad street for a few and then catch the boat to BEESES in Brislington. This all sounded perfect to me although maybe a little bit of a logistical nightmare.

The Council House

So Jess and Sophie didn’t want getting readies making it a pretty late start for me, So I grabbed a coffee and jumped on the train to Bristol to meet them out side the old council house before the ceremony. If you have ever been to a wedding at the old council house then you will know it’s a little bit of a wedding factory with a fast rotation of get in, get married, get out, piccies on the steps and then out the way for the wedding that was after you. It is pretty hectic but I love that! adds a little pressure to get people moving and if you have the right crowd it can be good fun too! once the ceremony was done and steps piccies were had up popped the follow me flag girl! (this is a great idea if you are walking between locations on your wedding day) and off we went to Horts for a few beverages before heading to the boat to Beezes!

The Boat Ride to Beezes

Getting here was great fun passing through Saint Nicholas Market, Down Saint Nicholas Steps and along to the boat. It was a little rainy but I love that as it ads a little vibe to the piccies as everyone is trying to shelter! The boat rid was great fun, loaded with snacks and enough prosecco to sink a boat ( sorry about the pun) everyone had a great time and the staff were really fun too!

The Beezes Party

Beezes is a hidden little gem in Bristol and has an awesome vibe. Sophie and Jess had done an incredible job of putting together some amazing wedding decorations, Cake, Food, People and Locations. We arrived, threw some more confetti, grabbed another drink, got the girls out for a few portraits in the woodland out back and cut some cake after a few heartfelt speeches. I grabbed a stack of candid images and after a fair few hours realised I had half hour to catch the last train back so booked myself and uber into town and let those epic people party into the night!
